These usually take place four times per year - February, May, September and November. They are normally in one of the many walking areas accessible from Warrington where CARC is based and so include North Wales, Shropshire, Peak District, Lakes, Yorkshire Dales. However walks further afield are normally included in the program such as South Wales, Scotland, York Moors and even Ireland. We stay in
a variety of accommodation - Bunk Barns, Youth Hostels and B&Bs. The price for a weekend is between £50 and £70 depending on which meals are included and type of accommodation. Guests pay a small premium. In addition the club usually organizes a group to go as a part of a walking holiday run by one of the walking companies such as Ramblers Holidays Limited. Trips have been made to Majorca and Grazalema in Spain, Algarve, Italy and Crete. These tend to be early in the year - March or April. The group was originally run by the leisure club at the Village Hotel Warrington. It has been run by the members for the last few years. Why not try one of the weekends to see the club is for you! The club is a member of the British Mountaineering Council (membership number B480924) which brings a number of benefits to CARC members (but not to guests or those that join our walks on an occasional basis). CARC Officers

Members pay GPB 20 to join the club and a subscription is set each year depending on expenses incurred to fund the clubs activities. Non members are welcome on walks (subject to places being available) but are charged an extra GPB 7.50 per person.
