Day four in Anchorage.
The plan today was to head north to Denali and drive Hatcher Pass, the southern most part of the park. By the time we arrived it was raining and the clouds were so low it wasn’t safe nor worth completing the 50 mile drive. I got a few pictures early on. Typical unpredictable weather for Alaska. Hoping for sunny skies tomorrow.

Day three in Anchorage. Today was another beautiful day.
We headed south to Seward, about a 2.5 hr drive. Along the way we stopped in Whittier. The only way to access Whittier is via boat, plane, or if you’re coming from anchorage, via the Whittier tunnel. The tunnel is 2.5 miles long, is one lane, and built in 1943. Cool experience.
Then we continue south to the Kenai Fjords. The drive again was breathtaking. We stopped at Exit Glacier and got some cool pictures. We didn’t have time to hike to the top view point but being that close was impressive. Lucky visitors to the top had a bear sighting, so far we haven’t been that lucky. After the glacier we headed south for 10 min to Seward, where most passenger ships conclude their journey before starting their land tour. Seward was beautiful. The glacier ice melt mixing with the ocean water made for spectacular colors. This town was quaint and I really enjoyed the visit. It was a long day on the road but really, the best way to see vast Alaska.

Day two at Anchorage. We took a short trip to Thunder Bird Falls. It had a some incline but wasn’t strenuous. Then we headed to Eagle River. We didn’t see any eagles, salmon, or beaver but WOW, the views were amazing. Alaska, you are breathtaking! Tonight, into town to see comedian Matt Rife.

Day one in Anchorage Alaska. Rented some E-bikes and road the coastal trail. It was beautiful. Saw a bull moose up close. Experienced a couple planes landing at Anchorage airport. Temperature is 61 and gorgeous. Couldn’t have asked for a better first day.

I had the privilege of experiencing Royal Caribbean's Symphony of the Seas through a thorough 4-hour tour last weekend. The tour offered a detailed look at the ship's diverse room categories, dining styles, entertainment options, and guest activities. She was an impressive ship. Thank you Roxanne Steele for the opportunity.
