Hello, I’m Kathleen the Airbnb Superhost of The Tipsy Pearl. This place has been my home away from home since 2013. A place for family and friends to gather, relax, and enjoy each others company in an amazing little beach town. In 2016, while living in the home, I began hosting guests in my spare rooms on Airbnb. I quickly realized how much I loved providing my guests and new friends not only a place to lay their heads at night, but a wonderful experience on our little island. A lifetime spent in Food & Beverage and Hospitality was some rather good training as well. We have had so many celebrations, including two marriage proposals and countless birthdays and anniversaries.

Now, I live in Baltimore, MD and host from afar. But, I still find so much joy in knowing my home stays full of fun and provides memories for hundreds of guests a year.

And if you are wondering why “The Tipsy Pear”... Pearls, such a special gem from the sea, are often thought of as a sign of feminine wisdom and having a calming effect. And well, Tipsy because we don't need to take ourselves that seriously on Folly Beach.
