Hi Iain,

I just wanted to thank your for your time on Sunday. Em and I had a brilliant day.

The caves themselves were interesting enough, however your huge knowledge of, and enthusiasm for the caves, the history and the geology, as well of the local area was astonishing and that really made the day. We could have done the same exploring with a less personable guide and had far less of an experience.

The photos are great and my gurning has had the rest of the family laughing!

A lovely few hours spent underground yesterday with a father and daughter team. Great to meet folk with so much interest in being underground and the wish to see and explore more. I'm sure we'll see them all again soon!

Another day of rain and flooding, but our choice of caves kept us safe and allowed adventures to continue. Another family seeking caving adventures with squeezes, crawls and of course a good soaking, but our kit keeps you nice and warm.

Let's hope the weather tomorrow picks up and is a good bit drier! It's good to dream!

After saying good bye to the London Area Sea Cadets Adventure Training-LASCAT we were straight back underground the next day. Despite some awful weather in the Dales. Sadly the water levels kept us away from the caves we would have loved to be playing in, but it didn't stop us getting underground and having adventures with families during half term.

This has become an annual event for us now, over a period of several years we’ve loved to seeing old and new faces join us underground.

It’s also worth noting the increasing amount of dead wood around the shaft due to a number of Ash trees that are suffering or dead due to Ash die back! The stability of the top of the shaft will become compromised as the roots of these trees die and release the ground being stabilised by them.

Recent rockfall at Alum Pot - damage to the tranverse and more rocks may fall. Extreme care required.

Unfortunately we don’t offer caving in Assynt very often. It’s a bit too far away from us and most of our clients. But that doesn’t mean we don’t venture ourselves.

A lovely day in the Peak District, caving with Macclesfield Scouts. The weather just about played ball, with just light showers coming through, and adventures were had underground.
