Another highlight of our recent trip to Memphis was visiting Sun Studios. This was where many great musicians got their start including Elvis. I grew up listening to many records that were recorded at Sun so it’s been on my list for years. Finally got to see it in person. 🎶🎸🎹🎤🎵

One of the most moving places I’ve been to is the in Memphis. The museum itself is full of stories, bios and info about civil rights in the US (allow at least 2-3 hrs as the museum has a LOT to it). But it culminates in the space where Martin Luther King Jr was assassinated. I could feel the weight of what had happened there and it has stayed with me. It was definitely one of the most memorable experiences we had on our recent roadtrip.

Sailing out of Vancouver - going under the iconic Lions Gate Bridge. I’ve driven over it before but it was my first time going under it. The Vancouver cruise port is in the city so it’s super easy to get to (there’s hotels within a short walk!)

So, what did we have at Granville Market? Husband got a salmon burger (he had one from there last time we were in Vancouver and talked about it since 🤣) and I got a big bowl of mini pierogis! So good. Then we went and had cocktails and local brews. Perfect day in Vancouver! 🍻

We love taking their (tiny) ferries to get to/from the Granville Island where you can indulge on all kinds of food (and drinks) at the market there. The choices are endless!
