I was just privy to a conversational exchange between a young couple and some bar staff where the said YC couldn’t muster a single “please” or “thank you” during the entirety thereof, despite being asked several qualifying questions and making numerous (rather petty) requests. I wanted to ask them if they had any inkling at all as to what constitutes good amd bad manners, but chose not to (largely due to discretion but also slightly due to capitulating acceptance of the way of things today).
Should I have said something?
