My iCloud freaked out a bit so I thought I would give you an overview of the last month in pictures! (I take a lot of pictures)

Our 25k trail yesterday included some really huge anthills. I asked Jill to pose next to one of them and this was her response.
The real reason the Singapore airport advises you to arrive 3 hours before your flight. 😋

It was a little windy at our free campground last night. It made doing the dishes a moving target!

One of the worst time lapse videos you’ll ever see. We started it thinking the road would turn back to the coast at any moment, but it didn’t.
Just the traffic in Japan. And a moment where the phone fell from the dash.
Happy Mother’s Day to all every woman out there. We hope your day is like this little creature we stopped to ponder while hiking in the Taroko Gorge last week.

It took us more than 15 min to walk from the Taipei main train station to the Dandy Hotel (丹迪旅店 - 天津店), but this time lapse shortens it to 24 seconds.
Who wouldn’t want the ability to shorten our travel times like this?!

A love song from the owners of our home stay here in the east coast of Taiwan.
Bridge Crossing in Taroko Gorge (Zhuilu Old Trail)
Jill here is terrified of crossing suspension bridges. Her fear hasn't lessened after years of crossing them.
She manages them just fine though.
Her main strategy is to go slow enough that the bridge doesn't bounce. She goes first and I make sure nobody steps on the bridge until she is done crossing.
And I take a timelapse.
Making a Wish With Fallen Cherry Blossom Petals
You know cherry blossom season is fleeting when you find piles of fallen petals piled up against the curbs, soft as down.
Is it tradition to make a wish with falling cherry blossom petals?
Snow Falling From the 18th Floor in Seoul, Korea
It’s snowing 🌨 in Seoul! Well, at least on the 18th floor of our rented apartment. Maybe it’s rain on ground level.
What’s the weather like where you are?
Tournant Oyster Tasting w/ Atlas Obscura in Portland
It was delightful to eat fresh oysters and learn about the long tradition of oyster farming in Oregon!
The new branch of Atlas Obscura in Portland really knows how to put together a great event! It didn’t hurt that the event was at Tournant.

Gulls Flying Over Celestun, Mexico
I was walking back along the beach yesterday and to my right we’re gobs of seagulls. Most of them took off as I neared and I was quickly surrounded in a swirl of seagulls above me.
Prayer Flags in Valladolid Mexico
There’s just something about the light against these flags blowing in the wind. It’s so completely mesmerizing that I didn’t even pay attention to the hubbub going on around me. I hope you can lose yourself in their beauty for a moment.

Finding a Horned Viper in Sahara
We had just set up camp by putting out our blankets and rugs. We were sitting there and then I got up to grab something out of the bag. A horned viper twisted its way out from under the blanket and tried to get away....
