Our Story
Based in Usk, Countree Care provides tree surgery and site clearance to clients throughout South Wales and the South West. Set up by Ian in 2004 after many years working for large power line clearance companies, Countree Care has become an established provider for both domestic and commercial clients. The business provides professional tree surgery and site clearance, and has a large range of specialist equipment such as excavators with tree shearers, large flails and a forestry mulcher and a variety of wood chippers. Our fleet includes a Scania Hook lorry that provides the transport to site and which can remove any resulting debris or material.
Clients include the construction industry, local authorities and land management organisations and large charitable organisations. Tree surgery is carried out by skilled and qualified operators, to recognised aboricultural practice and to National BS3998 standard. Countree Care operates in accordance with current Health and Safety legislation is CHAS with construction accredited. We also have £5m Public Liability, £5m Pollution Insurance and £10m Employer Liability Insurance. We provide will give advice on all aspects of tree work including tree preservation orders.
Extensive experience providing advice on site management regarding tree and shrub removal pre-construction, and liaison with local tree officers and appointed ecologists. Countree Care has a professional team, of NPTC qualified climbers and other operators. Work teams are all EFAW+F qualified and have an aerial rescuer for all climbing work in line with good practice. Many of the team hold CSCS and CITB health and safety for site operators
