शुभप्रभात बनारस हर हर महादेव!! बनारस की सुबह सारे भारत में प्रसिद्ध है | कहा जाता है की आत्महत्या के लिए उद्धत व्यक्ति को यदि सुबह बनारस घुमाया जाए तो उसे जीवन के प्रति अवश्य मोह उत्पन्न हो जाएगा और शायद उसमे कवित्व की भावना भी जागृत हो जाए | उत्तर प्रदेश के साहित्य गढ़ इसके प्रमाण है | यदि आपने बनारस की सुबह नही देखी है तो कुछ नही देखा | बनारस का असली रूप यहा सुबह को ही देखने को मिलता है . . . . बनारस में गन्दगी के दो कारण हैं - पहला नगरपालिका की असीम ‘कार्यपटुता’ और दूसरा बनारसियों की आदत। बनारस की किसी भी गली से आप गुजरिए उधर के सभी त्रिमुहानी, कोना अथवा सन्नाटावाले स्थानों में कर्मनाशा बहती है। सेन्ट से तर रूमाल भी नाक पर बिलबिलाने लगता है। कुछ प्रमुख स्थानों में नगरपालिका का कूड़ा गोदामघर है - जैसे बैंकवाले बड़े-बड़े फर्मों का रखते हैं। आपको जानकर आश्चर्य होगा कि जिस तरह बैंकवाले उतना ही माल पार्टी को उठाने देते हैं जितने माल का भुगतान पार्टी करती है, ठीक उसी प्रकार नगरपालिका भी जब जितना जरूरत समझती है उतना ही कूड़ा इकट्ठा करती है और उठाती है।
