Gorgeous colours and fantastic light! And for anyone who's been to our art workshops knows, I am pretty partial to some purple!

Tutored a very enjoyable painting workshop for Newbury Art Society on Saturday, and did this painting, Green Yellow, Purple and a tiny touch of permanent rose, a Triad no less, and it's Pin Mill, Suffolk.

Arty tip!

This comes from our tutor last Saturday, Felicity Heath. If you have a new dip pen which isn't picking up/holding the ink as it should do, she suggested passing a flame across the nib very briefly. This removes any glue or residue left on it from the manufacturers.

** Please note: only hold the flame over the nib for a second - do not leave it over the flame as you don't want to damage or ruin the nib - or at worst case, burn yourself! **

Shattered but had a fantastic day at our Line and Wash workshop. Felicity Heath showed us so many different techniques and we all learnt so much. Photo's will follow, but for now it's time for feet up and a cuppa!

I think I'm going to call that finished. Well I'm actually calling it 'Freesias'
