When you need a real holiday, why not come and stay at FR134 Chateau des Aspras near Correns?

The relaxed charm of this much loved family home, in this beautiful corner of Provence, provides the perfect setting for a gathering of family and friends.

Set within a valley of vines, the chateau offers extensive terraces, lawns and gardens, meaning even in a large group, you can find a peaceful spot.

You will be wonderfully looked after by chef Magali who provides delicious Provençal meals, enjoyed under the shade of the mature plane trees.

Spend the days lounging by the pool, playing tennis or croquet on the lawn. For the less competitive, walk 1km down the lane into Correns village with café, restaurant & shops or enjoy a trip to the picturesque town of Cotignac. You could enjoy a wine tasting from the Domaine Aspras at their new Caveau de Dégustation, visit the plentiful local markets, or the nearby River Argens, where you can bathe in deep pools, cascades or take kayak excursions.

May is the perfect time to visit the Cote d’Azur: warm days, none of the hustle and bustle of the school holidays, and yet still so much going on! From the 14 – 25 May, you could be rubbing shoulders with the stars at the Cannes Film Festival, after which, move along the coast (by chauffeur driven limo, obviously) to Monaco for the Grand Prix on 26 May.

We have a number of glorious properties, well placed to take advantage of these glamourous events, but secluded enough to avoid the paparazzi….

Whether it is the upcoming Olympics, the Bordeaux wine festival or just your love of the region, there is so much to attract visitors to this wonderful area of France.

The Bordeaux Wine Festival takes place from 27-30 June, so why not plan a visit, where you can not only sample an amazing selection of wines, but enjoy tall ships, drone light shows and of course the gastronomic delights of the region (at PPA we are huge fans of the Canelé).

Or, on the 23 May, witness the Olympic Torch relay as it reaches Bordeaux, which will also host a number of the matches of both the men’s and women’s football tournament.

I have lead small group tours to Italy and France for several years and have used many different booking agencies for vacation villa rentals. A happy customer back from a great trip. Looking forward to working with again next year Keli! Posted • Home again after almost two months in Europe. There were so many adventures, it’s difficult to recall all of them in my jet-lagged brain. Champagne, Lyon, all the joys of Provence (twice); Sicily with family, friends, and more friends … drove around the entire island of Sicily in a VW van and survived; Dordogne was a dream … visiting the charming villages mentioned in my favorite Chief Bruno series of books with the delightful Marilee of .wines, all while tasting an alarming amount of local specialties and wine. Let the fasting begin … until the next adventure!
PS. I brought 38 people to France and Italy and no one tested positive for COVID because we were all vaccinated and followed the protocols. It’s no fun wearing a mask until you sweat and break out, or standing in line to have swabs poked up your nose and tickle your brain, but it’s better than staying home!
