Ballito to Zinkwazi & In-Between. A to Z of Activities. This pages aims to serve our communities from Ballito to Zinkwazi threefold.

Firstly as a way to share information provided by the tourist business communities from Ballito to Zinkwazi that offer and encourage visitors to our towns with activities and things to do thereby bringing tourists, boosting revenue and building the economy within our communities. Secondly, to showcase Ballito to Zinkwazi as more than just a beach and restaurant destination. There is truly an A-Z o

f activities and things to do available for all ages, capabilities and budgets which many visitors and even locals are not aware of. What you can't do this time, come back and do next time. And thirdly, in consideration of our local community members who, after a busy holiday season might also want to head out of town for a much needed break to recharge, we have included a few out of town activities that are not in competition with what is provided by Ballito to Zinkwazi tourism business communities.

R is for Rock hunting. Keep a look out for the lovingly painted rocks that have been hidden by the Ballito Rocks community to find as you stroll along the Ballito boardwalk/promenade. Marvel at the creativity of the rock painters as you indulge in some serious rock hunting. Paint a rock, hide a rock, pick up a rock or just leave a rock. A lovely treasure hunt for the little ones although the grown ups love it to 😉

M is for Microlights. This could be you experiencing a magical morning flight along the Dolphin Coast with Ballito Microlight Academy situated next to Sugar Rush Park. Enjoy the incredible birds eye view of the marine life as you soar along the beautiful coastline.

S is for Scooters. Visiting Ballito and want a fun way to get around and explore the Dolphin Coast? Scoot Ballito has a fun option. Park the car and rent a Scooter or a Tuk Tuk for the day or join Scoot Ballito for their weekly Sunday Scooter breakfast fun run. Meet at Shiptec Garage on Ballito Drive and ride to Darnall Country Club, Zinkwazi . Scooters available to rent.

N is for New Year. May 2024 be filled with lots of sparkling moments, endless opportunities, exciting adventures, love, laughter and loads of fun.

R is for Rainy days. No need to be stuck indoors on a rainy day while on holiday. Paint a piece of pottery at The Pottery Ballito in Lifestyle Centre or stop in at Protea Pottery at Burnedale Farm in Umhlali. Go to ACE KARTING in the Ballito Junction on Level 3 and try out your karting skills. Ace Karting also have Glow-In-the dark Putt Putt and Laser Tag. While you're at the centre; Check out what’s showing at Nu Metro. Need to get the kids out but it’s too wet? Head to The Jump Park at Sugar Rush Park for indoor trampoline fun. Needing some stress release; Smash It in the Sugar Village, Umhlali is the place to smash things up or splash paint on walls.
For the over 18's, BOOK a tour with your group of friends at the Ballito Brewing Company on the R102 at Canton Park and see how local craft beers are brewed. Contact Dolphin Coast Tourist Services for a designated driver to get you and your friends there and back safely.

P is for Petting Farm. Give the family a fabulous farm experience for a day or visit many times. Pack the cossies, hats, sunscreen, towels, braai or picnic goodies, load up the kids and head to Flag Animal Farm, the largest animal rescue farm in KZN located in Sheffield Beach.
Walk among the much loved animals and cuddle to your hearts content. Educational animal presentations, a water park, dinosaurs, pony rides, tractor rides and outdoor playgrounds including a pirate ship. Something for everyone.

B is for Beaches. Ballito and surrounds beaches are safe, clean, meet environmental standards and are ready for summer holiday fun and visitors with 3 local North Coast beaches having Blue Flag status; Thompsons Bay, Willard’s and Blythedale.

Ballito UIP - Urban Improvement Precinct conducts regular water testing so follow their page for updates.

Pack those umbrellas, hats, towels, cossies and sunscreen and head to the beach. Enjoy the great swimming spots, long hikes, short beach walks, sea, sun and sand of the summer holidays.

F is for Festival. Happening at Sugar Rush Park. It’s Ballito Big Week on 22,26,29 December with your favorite artists including Black Coffee followed by KZN Summer Ballito Live on 27 Dec with Jeremy Loops, Will Linley and Goodluck and seeing in the New Year in 31st Dec are Goldfish Live, Neon Dreams and Saxby Twins.
