"Sunrise hot air ballooning over the Cape Winelands is truly a breathtaking experience. The stunning views from above are a sight to behold."

Chobe has more elephants than anywhere else on the continent. The most accessible area is Chobe Riverfront, with vast herds, as well as lion, leopard and buffalo. Herds of elephant cross the placid waters, giraffes munch riverside trees and, stretching out towards the horizon and the Namibian border, zebras, warthogs and antelopes scatter the floodplains.

Thereโs something spectacular about a safari at night. Something that you can only understand once youโve experienced it for yourself.

We have been unbelievably privileged in the last few days to see some incredible wild dog sightings, with a pack hanging around the area we traverse in, allowing us to follow them while they hunt, feed and rest.

I woke up this morning to the most beautiful call of a fish eagle.
Widespread in South Africa, the Fish Eagle is particularly common in and around some of the Rift Valley lakes. So well known and clear is the call of this bird that it is often known as "the Voice of Africa".
A handsome bird, the African Fish Eagle is easily recognised by its pure white head, the striking contrast between the white upper-body and tail, the chestnut belly and the black wings.
