SPOTLIGHT ON: HOTEL PENSION RAPMUND
The Hotel Pension Rapmund in Swakopmund was founded in 1968 by the Rapmund family, but was taken over by the Muellers in 2008. The hotel is however still operated on a family oriented basis. The hotel is ideally situated, only a few minutes walk from the beach and the town center is just around the corner.
The hotel offers 20 standard en-suite double rooms, two family units and two luxury suites. The reception, breakfast room and TV lounge, are situated in the main building. The hotel also has a laundry service and guests can lock up their valuables in a safe. A vehicle rental service can be arranged.
The double rooms, single rooms, family rooms and gallery room have a coffee/ tea station and a fridge. The luxury flat - a family unit, also has a microwave.
Nearby activities: Swakopmund Museum; Swakopmund Library, indoor swimming pool, aquarium. The legacy of German colonialism is still vivid around the town. The fascinating Welwitschia plants can be seen all around Swakopmund. Trips to the Cape Cross Colony is also on the to-do list.
