Elvin lives with his family in the small destination village of Coffee Bay; a remote village on the Wild Coast filled with welcoming smiles, wandering livestock and majestic rolling hills into the Pacific Ocean. Elvin’s eldest daughter, Mpumie helps her father to manage their Homestay business and they live with Elvin’s wife, their three other children and one young cousin. Staying with Elvin is a

great non-commercial way to really get to know some of the locals here. Perfect for guests if they would like to experience and learn more about life in a traditional rural village. It is a chance to get involved in family life and learn the traditional roles of men and women in the family; collect water, look after the animals, share a meal and learn the Xhosa language. Get to know Elvin and his family in their own home and share dinner together, enjoy the sounds of nature as you fall asleep under a thatched roof, and awake with the chickens as the sun rises; an experience not to be missed!
