Bomvu Paradise BOMVU is situated in a tropical Transkei garden on the banks of BOMVU river, footsteps from the Beach A destination of THE HEART! Bomvu is a family backpackers.

Founded in 1990. Karl Weschta and his family were grateful to have been accepted by this amazing tribe and community and now we feel privileged to be able share BOMVU with international and local visitors. Bomvu works closely with the local Bomvana tribe. Bomvu means red: the tribe is characterized by their red dress and clay used to dye their clothes. Bomvu is nestled in a subtropical garden on b

anks on the Bomvu River facing the sea in the magical place called Coffee Bay. We are much more than just a backpackers!!! We are a holiday destination, a cultural experience, a soul nuturing rustic retreat - for South Africans and Non-South Africans. We offer drumming, yoga, massage. Other activities include: world class surfing, fishing and other water sports. Coffee Bay has beautiful landscapes and beautiful deserted beaches. So if you are a nature love and even if you aren't you can spend time just enjoying being apart of the beauty of the Transkei. Please however do not expect 5 star luxury or even 3 star luxury!!! This is true old Africa in the Transkei -- not built up, beautiful scenery, and raw nature. You got to love it -- true Woodsmoke of Africa here! Where it all began! We welcome you and look forward to sharing our cultural paradise with you, cause Nothing Beats like Bomvu!!!! Thank you for joining our group!
