🌍✨ What an incredible weekend we had! 🌍✨

We had the privilege of hosting two very excited visitors from the US on our exclusive 'Take a Selfie with a Giraffe' tour, and let me tell you, they had an absolute blast! 🦒📸

Well over 30 giraffes spotted, along with zebras, wildebeests, bucks, and more wildlife making it a truly unforgettable experience. 🦓🦌

A Hidden Gem in Durban North – 118 on Fairway

We don’t usually do reviews, but this morning, we stumbled upon a true treasure in Durban North and felt it was too good not to share.

118 on Fairway is a charming coffee shop and restaurant that has locals buzzing—and for good reason! Nestled within a well-established guest house, the owners have now opened the restaurant to the public (though we stand to be corrected on the finer details).

Our Experience
We decided to try their Fairway Breakfast and an omelette, paired with some freshly brewed coffee and indulgent hot chocolate.

The Highlights
Service: Absolutely outstanding! (5.5/5)
Views: Breathtaking—ocean views overlooking the Beachwood Golf Course. (5/5)
Meals: Absolutely delicious. We couldn’t fault them at all! The portions were generous and satisfying.
Pricing: Reasonable for the quality offered. (4/5)
Overall Experience: Delightful! (4.5/5)

This spot has so much to offer: stunning ocean views, a sparkling swimming pool, a beautiful garden, and even a kids' playground (currently under construction). To top it off, there’s a fantastic antique shop onsite, making it the perfect all-round experience.

The One Minor Con:
At R129 per meal, we were surprised that toast wasn’t included as standard with our breakfast. It’s optional, but at that price point, we’d expect at least a slice or two to be included.

Final Thoughts
Despite that small hiccup, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit! The warm hospitality, tranquil atmosphere, and attention to detail made it a memorable morning.

If you’re in the area and looking for a place to relax, enjoy delicious food, and take in some incredible views, 118 on Fairway should absolutely be on your list. We’ll definitely be back!

Yesterday at Everton Conservancy was one for the books! 🌫️ The forecast promised clear skies, but nature gave us mist instead—perfect for that moody forest vibe. The mist didn’t stop anyone though; it just made everyone more eager to get wet and wild! 💦

Everton Conservancy, with its lush greenery and serene trails, provided the perfect escape. It’s always a magical spot, even if the weather decides to play tricks on us.

We were having so much fun that we completely forgot to take a group photo (rookie mistake, we know!). A special thanks to the incredible team who maintain the trails—you guys are doing an amazing job keeping this gem in top-notch condition! 👏

🌊 A Nostalgic Journey with the Jacobs Family🌊

This past weekend, we had the absolute pleasure of hosting the Jacobs family for a private Whaling Station tour. It was a special experience, made even more extraordinary by Mr. Jacobs himself—a man with a unique connection to the site.

Back in 1973, Mr. Jacobs was one of the fortunate few to visit the Whaling Station when it was still in operation. Walking those same grounds 50 years later was an overwhelming and deeply emotional moment for him, as he reminisced about a place frozen in time yet rich in history.

We’re truly honored to have shared in this unforgettable journey with the Jacobs family, adding new memories to their story while preserving the echoes of the past.

Result? One startled me, one angry bushbuck, and one very confused drone meeting a pole at high speed. 🚁➡️🥲
