Last but not least in my last few weeks of travel, the greatest surprise of a hidden gem in my back garden on the Tugela River, South Africa are passionate conservationists who own and manage an incredible space off the beaten track with incredible success for over 30 years.

This is an authentic experience and on the road less travelled, unfenced free-range wildlife within a conservation-education and adventure destination.

I am grateful to long-term conservationist and personal development leadership of Angus Wingfield and Africa Wild Trails - Ventures, Field Studies, Expeditions for the introduction, and who have based themselves here for over 20 years bringing young people, groups, and other to experience Africa and conservation initiatives in its real form.
(Many of the pics were location and accommodation but there are many giraffe and other game in these vast untouched expanses)..

Having just returned from a two week site-inspection and familiarisation tour in Namibia with the amazing Namibia Tours & Safaris hosting us, I am excited to share first-hand experiences and hand-picked destinations for my guests.

These trips are important because I can choose from all the options out there which suites my guests and their preferences and pocket while injecting my ethos and passions into a bespoke journey for them.

For me a trip/ holiday/safari is about authentic experiences, enjoying a countries highlights but slowing down our pace and looking for the road less travelled, the hidden gems and reconnecting with our natural world in. To take home a piece of Africa in your heart that has better understanding of its wildlife conservation people and culture, all while feeding your own soul. ♡

After having taken some time to rest and reflect on the year and where we are going in 2025, I realised just how busy I had been planting seeds and making connections that I feel will be watered this year and grow into something that's me, has purpose and passion and attracts those that are like-minded.

Africa Eco Ventures plans on rocking 2025 with some lovely bespoke safaris and family safari trips coming up that are adventure-filled, off the beaten track and have conservation-education as the guide ..... as well as two hosted trips with small groups in September Botswana..
