With many places to choose from such as Mauritius, Reunion, the romantic Seychelles, the spice island of Zanzibar or Mozambique, the choices are unlimited. Many people hope of witnessing the Migration in the Masai Mara Reserve, Kenya, but only a few get to see this! There is nothing more breathtaking than the vastness of the open plains of the Serengeti, Tanzania and watching the herds gathering in their thousands! Experience absolute opulence in the middle of nowhere in camps that offer 5 star luxury whilst sleeping under the African skies, tented camps with private butlers, hot running water, chandeliers and Persian carpets - what dreams are made of! And if this is not enough you can laze in a private plunge pool, gazing at one of Africa's BIG 5 whilst sipping G&T'S. Closer by is Namibia with stunning scenery. From the dunes in the desert, to the flamingoes on the salt pans, and the animals in Etosha National Park, there are amazing sights as far as you travel. Explore the rugged coastline of the Italian & French Rivera's. Europe has the most incredible network of rivers, which offer amazing itineraries for River Cruising. This will allow you to disembark in the middle of some of the most ancient cities that are steeped in history, and waiting to be explored on foot. If you prefer cruising then consider cruises with a difference - there are tall sailing ships such as the Royal Clipper, luxurious Yachts of Seabourne, Voyages of Discovery for unusual itineraries, expedition trips to unique destinations such as the Arctic to see polar bears or the Antarctic to see Emperor penguins. A personal message from Ina: "Wow! What an experience! On the spur of the moment I decided to make a personal contribution to assist S.A. to return to the ultimate Garden Olympics in London after an absence of 4 years.

This return was made possible by heavyweight non-governmental sponsors like the Rupert Nature Foundation, Grootbos Private Nature Reserve as well as Cape Flora. The Expo is endorsed by the Botanical Society’s Kirstenbosch branch. Lastly private benefactors made a handsome contribution to showing the world that S.A. is not all about crime and corruption but a place of beauty populated by wonderful people who care about our land and its precious heritage.

In fact when I saw the amazing award winning (Gold medal and "Best New Design" and "Best in the Great Pavillion") display of Cape Flora, I got tears in my eyes, it was overwhelming and made one deeply aware of the importance of nature and its gifts. A quote I heard that resonated with both Graham and me was:

‘Everyone needs silence, space and beauty.’
