Meet Jeremy Duzi, one of Amakhosi’s beloved trackers who has been with us since 2009! Known for his warm smile and infectious happy nature, Jeremy has a special way of making every guest feel welcome and at home on our safaris. If you’re a regular visitor, you’ll often see him teamed up with his lifelong friend and fellow guide, Phillip Khumalo as they lead unforgettable game drives across the reserve.

Jeremy hails from Ndumo a village about 2 and half hour away, and has been immersed in the wonders of nature all his life. He’s a proud father of four, and his passion for conservation runs deep. He dreams of passing on his knowledge to future generations, hoping that they’ll learn to love, respect, and protect nature as much as he does. Jeremy is especially dedicated to raising awareness about the challenges faced by KwaZulu-Natal’s wildlife, including the threat of poaching to rhinos, elephants, lions, and leopards. As he frankly states, "these evil people must stop their nonsense and respect NOT kill wildlife"

Beyond his expertise in tracking, Jeremy’s kind spirit is what makes him truly special. Guests love his attentive care, from tucking them in with cozy blankets and hot water bottles on chilly early morning or evening drives, to sharing his deep knowledge of the bush with enthusiasm and pride. His dedication to creating memorable experiences is what makes him such a treasured part of the Amakhosi family.

This is our story!

So this year of 2020 we celebrate our 20th ANNIVERSARY It feels like yesterday that I was trying to convince my dear sister Claudia Smith that it was a wonderful idea to start a travel representation company in KZN, this was after I had taken a trip to the USA and found it was a very successful way of doing business. We first started with the then Medtour as our first client then met with William and Belinda van der Riet from Cathedral Peak Hoteland Legacy Hotels and from there it just grew so quickly and as we grew our sister in law Lucy Arrigo joined us and the Amalfi sisters or the "twisted sisters "were born. When our dear Claudia passed away the wonderful Julie Galtrey joined our team and Amalfi continued and thrived.
