Kleinhans Sr., a pioneer of the game conservation and Safari industry in the country of South Africa. Based in the game rich and popular Eastern Cape of South Africa, our safaris take place in all nine of the South African Provinces as well as a new concession which we now have exclusive hunting rights to in Mozambique. This broad range of hunting areas offers our clients an infinite number of plains game and dangerous game species from which to plan the African safari of a lifetime.

Taking a trip down memory lane…
What a pleasure it was to welcome our friends back for another safari, 20 years later! Just goes to show-a friendship forged around a campfire after a long day of hunting, never fades!
They joined us to finish off their plains game list and of course, to snag some big, old Buffalo bulls (which I’ll share with you on here soon)👏🏆
I’ve included some photos from the first trip too, so everyone can clearly see we all haven’t aged one bit over the years😉

I want to thank everyone for the incredible support, encouragement and the countless thoughts and prayers that you have shared with us throughout Natia Kleinhans mom’s battle with cancer. It is with deep, deep sadness that I have to share, we will be laying our mom to rest.

Our hearts are broken. The world has lost an incredible woman, but heaven has gained an angel. She will always be remembered as an amazing mother, grandmother and mentor to all. And for sure the most beautiful person, inside and out. Words cannot begin to describe how much she will be missed. Thanks again to everyone for the continuous support, encouragement and prayers.

Today, I was privileged enough to guide William on his first African hunt. It’s been a cold, windy day but this champ did a fantastic job and snagged a beautiful Blue Wildebeest🏆

Seeing this young hunter filled with excitement and adrenaline brought back so many memories. I found myself thinking back to JP Jr.’s first Buffalo in Mozambique at 8 years old. After this photo was taken, we joked that he was barely taller than the rifle.

Well, I’ll tell you one thing: these young men are built differently. They might not be so much taller than their rifles, but they sure know how to hunt and damn it-they are good shots! Well done, William. I hope that the excitement I was a part of today, never goes away👏

These exceptional ivory tips are a textbook example of what to look out for when spotting a mature bull🏆
Upon closer inspection, this bull had no teeth left. This was for sure the last winter that he would have endured, but judging from how polished those tips are-he definitely gave the bush a run for its money over the years!

Hunting a big old Cape Buffalo is always a fantastic experience, but it’s even better when you have an old friend by your side. Dalton Bannister and I have had some of the greatest adventures together. That includes last week, when we guided three different buffalo hunts together. Talk about living the dream!

Winter is here, that means the fireplaces are lit at 5pm sharp!
The fireplace in our new “Safari Memories” lodge may be the 8th fireplace we’ve added, but it’s definitely my favourite🔥
Clients have joked that we have a fire going around every corner. Well, I wouldn’t go that far but, as the saying goes, “where there’s smoke, there’s fire”🤣

Natia and I are high school sweethearts. I always joke about how lucky she is to have me. The truth is, I wouldn’t be the man I am today without her. God has blessed me with an incredible wife, best friend and mother to our kids. I am one lucky man! Let’s not forget to mention that she’s the very best cook too👏😜

Battle of the Antelopes!
Another amazing start to a safari, but I can’t seem to decide which trophy is more stunning⁉️
The fantastic, old Eland bull with that signature, thick “mop” on his forehead? Or does the beautiful Golden wildebeest take the crown?
As always, Tikka had a ball of a time on this hunt. I wish dogs could talk, maybe she could help me decide 😅

I’ve had many great adventures in my life, but the most memorable and important of them all has been the journey of fatherhood. I love my kids and couldn’t be more proud of the young adults they have become. Happy Father’s Day to not just the fathers, but all the men who have stepped up to the plate and acted as mentors, role models and leaders in their communities! It takes a village to raise a child👏

Everyone who’s met me knows I’m not very good at sitting still😅This was an exception. It’s hard not to feel at peace when you’re looking out across the Karoo.
After a few hours of watching, we finally saw the Sable bull that we’ve been tracking for a while. Jumped up, checked the wind and quickly made a makeshift set of shooting sticks.
Clearly, patience is key! What a gorgeous bull👏

Happy belated birthday, Hunter! This young man couldn’t have had a more fitting name 😉🏆 He is one helluva shot! We’ve been friends with Michele Smith and Doug Smith since before Hunter was born, so we couldn’t have been more excited that he had his birthday on this trip! Was great having the Smiths here with us!

I always love guiding father and son hunts. However, this is one that I consider to be extra special. The boys are 60 & 64 and their dad is 91. Truly spectacular! What an honour to be on a safari with these men.

Luckily Natia and our amazing staff always have a snack waiting for us when we walk through the door 🙌 The ultimate test of self control is to go easy on the starters, since it’s shortly followed by a meal that always exceeds expectations!

Those of you who have been lucky enough to embark on a buffalo hunt will know the excitement of a great hunt doesn’t stop after your bull is down!
The famous “death bellow“ of a Cape buffalo will often rally the herd up to come back and protect the fallen bull!

What a start, our first buff of the season! Got this great old bull with my trusted old R***r M77 in .458 Win Mag. 500 grain swift A frame bullet did a great job as always🏆
We’ve also hunted several other fantastic trophies in the past few days. They’re impressive, to say the least 🙌

She arrived home yesterday and a few hours (and one shot) later, sorted out the shortage of fresh Biltong and Droëwors for the Harvest table this coming Saturday💥
Needless to say, JP Jr. and I are still debating which one of us taught her how to aim like that!
