Snow in Hogsback. UPDATE: The snow has stopped now and is melting. Was a very light one this time. 10:30am thursday 20 July.

What a magical and beautiful event this was. I have never seen snow before and to be in the thick of it was absolutely breath taking and most special. We celebrated by lighting a huge bonfire and roasting marshmallows with some hot coffee. It was truly beautiful. The homestead I stay on is right at the top of main road where most of the snow fell and it was such a pleasure to enjoy it without having to drive out to see it.

The temps in Hogsback are getting lower by the day and there is talk of snow on its way. This is what I and many others are waiting for, to see the snow in this stunning place. Having been here for 4 months now I am getting to see just how extreme the weather can be and how fast it can change. Even without snow this little village is stunning. There is so much beauty to enjoy here and tons of hiking trails, each trail more beautiful than the last. I have been to some of the most beautiful places in the country with huge forests, but none can compare to this village. Any time of the year is a great time to come visit here to explore all of the wonder this village holds. I will be uploading some photos very soon that I have captured thus far whilst living in the thick of it. If you have any enquiries or would like to book accommodation, feel free to contact me.
