We always love to hear your input to better our accommodation for you.

This is for beach accommodation between 6-10 people ( HOUSE)

Will you walk / drive 600m to the beach and get affordable accommodation with all the luxuries like Wifi, Dishwasher, linen ,Towels, lekker Patio and braai.

OR

Will you rather pay much more for accommodation say 100m from the beach?

I know it is personal preference...
For instance the only difference is the 500m to the beach.

Example:
Peak season
Sleep 8

R5000 per night ( 100m from the beach)
VS
R3000 per night (600m from the beach)

⛰️Come Run Our Mountains!

The Titanic Challenge Trail Run is held to raise funds for the preservation of the Clarens Nature Reserve, the Clarens Village Conservancy, which manages the Reserve and is a non-profit organisation, is hosting a one-day trail running event that will allow runners and walkers to share the magnificent views and terrain of this mountainous area. This event promises to be fun and challenging for both novices and experienced runners and one can choose from a 50km 35km, a 21km or a 10km route.

While the Clarens Nature Reserve is limited to trails that amount to about 25km, neighbouring farmers have opened up their land to allow the 35 km and 50km routes to pass through segments of their unblemished, private game and livestock farms where animals roam - thus we can offer 30km of previously untouched trails to the public, further adding to the exclusivity of the event as these private trails will not be publicly accessible outside of race day. Unfortunately, due to the terrain and areas traversed by the run, no dogs are allowed at this event.

Race Fees:

Included in your race fee is a conservation fee which gives you access to a 7-day permit for the Clarens Nature Reserve and a goodie bag. Race shirts and other race apparel are not included in your entry fee but can be purchased separately when you enter or on race day.

Early Bird Race Fees (Online)- applicable from 24 January - 31 March 2025

10km - R275
21km - R400
35km - R520
50km - R640
Standard Race Fees (Online)- applicable from 31 March - 26 August 2025.

10km - R305
21km - R440
35km - R560
50km - R680
**Online entries will close on 26 August 2025 or earlier depending on ticket sales as we plan to limit entries this year. However, provided there are still entries available, late entries will be happily accepted at race registration - but please be aware that late joining fees may apply and you will not receive a registration gift or finishers medal/prize.

Monetary prizes will be given to all first, second and third places (male and female)

Registration:

Registration is on Friday 5 September 2025 on the Clarens Town Square from 4-8 pm and again at the Clarens Town Square on Saturday morning (6 September) from 6.15 am.

It is 100% mandatory for all 50km runners to register on Friday and attend a race briefing on the Clarens Town Square at 6pm.

All runners are asked to please download the Finish Time Passport App from the iPhone or Android App Store before coming to Registration.

Race start times and cut off times:

50km 5.15 am START, 2.45pm CUT OFF
35km 7.00 am START, 2pm CUT OFF
21km 7.30 am START, 12.30pm CUT OFF (This may change)
10km 8.00 am START, 12pm CUT OFF (This may change)

Substitutions, cancellations and upgrading/downgrading:

Race substitutions can be done up until the close of online entries but only within the same distance category.

Cancellations and refunds are possible but only up until the close of online entries.

Upgrading or downgrading your chosen race distance is possible but only up until the close of online entries. A price increase will apply for runners looking to upgrade their distance whereas a downgrade will be done free of charge, however, there is no refund/cash back option when downgrading.

Should you wish to substitute, cancel or upgrade/downgrade your entry - please contact Entry Ninja directly.

Rollovers to 2025 are only permissible in the event that the race is cancelled or postponed by the race organisers.

SUPER IMPORTANT INFO:

Please note: While there will be water points along the route, due to the challenging terrain, a hydration pack, extra nutrition, a charged cellphone, a headlamp and a GPX device are compulsory for runners doing the 50km. Similarly, a hydration pack, extra nutrition and a charged cellphone are compulsory on the 35km route. This will be checked at the start line on the morning of the race. 21km runners are also strongly encouraged to take a hydration pack and extra nutrition with them however this is not a mandatory requirement.

The minimum age limit is 12 years for the 10km, 16 years for the 21km, 18 years for the 35km and 21 years for the 50km.

While walking is permitted on all race routes, we strongly recommend that only serious runners enter the 35km and the 50km routes due to the tough terrain and elevation gains. Serious walkers will be permitted on the 21km route - just please check that the cut-off times are realistic for you given the terrain and elevation gains.

Unfortunately, we do not allow dogs at this event.
