New Parental Leave Ruling By High Court

⚠️ Breaking News: The Johannesburg High Court has granted both parents maternity leave. The court rules that parents are now allowed to share the four months' leave as they see fit. The ruling comes after a family took legal action against the Labour Department over inconsistencies in the Basic Conditions of Employment Act. It gave mothers four month's maternity leave and fathers just 10 days after the birth of a child. The Commission for Gender Equality and Sonke Gender Justice were also applicants in the matter.
