We recently spent the long weekend at one of our favourite sanctuaries, GG Conservation, a non profit organisation, we got to spend time with Smokey’s (GG’s superstar, check him out, he’s magnificent) boys, this is Samburu. This was quite a eventful weekend, GG tell all in their post. If you are a photographer, whatever level, or just want to be surrounded by these magnificent lions, put them on your bucket list for a stay. Highly recommend

A beautiful profile of King Samburu, captured by our local guests during their eventful stay here a couple of weeks ago.

I say eventful .. as the group witnessed a couple of rare sightings.. first they saw a 🐍 cobra slither through Shaloms lion camp & into the Dam camp much to the dam lionesses delight… ( Shalom himself ran for the hills 😂) and then they also witnessed a baby owl drop into Ariels camp & ultimately paws 😬 .. she who wasn’t quite sure what to do with it. The owl played dead, we were able to distract Ariel & eventually rescue the owl, whom we arranged to take to for rehabilitation .. however the owl passed away before we could make the 3hr journey there 😭
