Being part of such a cosmic occurrence is a once in a lifetime blessing - enough to propel all who experience it into an almost orgiastic spiritual height.
We have not to even imagine what a griot of SAs music legacy post apartheid a figure like Nosisi is, to be embellishing one of today’s time encapsulating word bender as the Siza Nkosi is to music as a whole. Such fortune was the gift inherited by all who attended the magic Tuesday of Sawubona Music Jam the 11th of June.

As we continue in the spirit of bringing quality Hip Hop back to the streets, back to its people and back to a high value, we would like to thank everyone who is with us on the journey.
As one of the last surviving movements from the golden-era of SA Hip Hop, Dungeon Shack 1852 has proven that this culture is everlasting. This is through all the disenfranchisement and unfair criticism of the sub-par standards we've come to know today. We are still here and ptoving that we are the creators of the present.
The power of the word is the direct power of creation and thus the knowers use it wisely and intentionally - to create. So, a movement of people that use intentional creation should be revered - which is why Hip Hop scholars are looked upon in a less than deserving way. They want us to forget that we are true creators. They have led us to create problems in the past and this is a step towards recreating ourselves, in a way that pleases us.
The most lyrical wordbenders grace the Dungeon Shack stage to co-create a new and self-actualized identity. We have chosen to be on the side of revolution, and move towards taking back our truth. All industries survive by our power except our own. This time, we are bringing everything home. We are doing this through Hip Hop. Hip Hop is the only thing that has ever shown us any care and as such, it shall be used in the same spirit.
#WeAreTheMoney is the revolutionary, unifying understanding that we embody as either Hip Hop artists, entrepreneurs and activists. This is where we stand and together, we continue the march towards out freedom.
