We are currently seeking a JAN Group Executive Chef to work alongside Michelin star chef Jan Hendrik van der Westhuizen at JAN South Africa.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the JAN SA group, which includes Klein JAN Restaurant, JAN Franschhoek, JAN media and events, and more, leading 3-4 Head Chefs and operating as Jan Hendrik’s second in command in the implementation of his vision regarding all culinary aspects including recipe and menu development and testing, as well as presentation style by collaborating with front-of-house teams on their choice of flatware and linens.

You will be expected to travel extensively, both nationally and internationally, taking the JAN brand into different territories.

You will work remotely at times as a food stylist for photoshoots and filming, overseeing and maintaining JAN’s high standards for food presence across the brand’s full media ecosystem, including JAN The JOURNAL, JANONLINE.COM and the JAN TV show.
