A flashback Friday moment

In 2018 I started a school program, had student from Knysna and Rheenendal on a walk and talk historical tour then 2019 started visiting Chris Nissen Primary and teaching/presenting the unwritten history of the people living in the township.

Good Ole times, I miss this.

In all that we are remembering the teacher whom embraced these programs and invited me to teach in his classes Mr Vukani Theo Cuka (he is on the 1st photo), i am so grateful. May you continue to rest in power

The pictures below are the beautiful Malume (Uncle) and Malumekazi (Aunt) of our very own Guide Anita Best.

Dressed in our IsiXhosa Traditional wear.
Umbaco (the black & white) and Shweshwe blue matching outfits.

We have clan names (Iziduko) see description below:
Iziduko in Xhosa are family names that are considered more important than surnames among Xhosa people. Many Xhosa persons can trace their family history back to a specific male ancestor or stock.

It's is important to know who you are.

We just love how proud they are of who they are and read below their Clan names
