Mens moet STADIG deur Marloth se paaie ry - om die natuurskoon met AL sy gediertes en gedroggies te kan raak sien 🥰 en waardeer.

Verkleurmannetjies het papegaai-agtige voete wat aangepas is om in bome te leef en saggies deur takke en blare te beweeg. Hulle beweeg gewoonlik stadig met wiegende bewegings om met die ritsel van blare in die wind saam te smelt. Die oë is stereoskopies en kan onafhanklik van mekaar en in teenoorgestelde rigtings beweeg. Die stert is spesiaal gevorm om homself te anker en aan takkies vas te gryp.

Hulle het lang klewerige tonge wat hulle blitsig kan uitskiet om prooi te vang. Die tong is tot twee keer so lank as die liggaam self. Hulle vreet meestal insekte, maar sal ook soms kleiner akkedisse vreet.

The Boomslang is largely tree-living but may descend to the ground to bask. In trees it poses no threat to humans as it is extremely reluctant to bite, and bites are rare.

But it is highly venomous , so please be cautious! We were lucky to spot one catching a frog 🐸 in Marloth Park.
