Miss Milly Folly is the name of our charming darling of a thatched-roof, pet-friendly, self-catering countryside cottage in McGregor. It is a place to spend time relaxing, unwinding, just being, recollecting and regrouping yourself. Many people feel energised after spending time there. The cottage is named after the French custard slice, mille feuille, which means "a thousand leaves." We once had

the mille feuille in a restaurant in McGregor and the waitress (a local woman) pronounced it "Milly Folly!" We were tickled by this and when we were deciding on a name for our cottage, the large tree in the garden with its thousand leaves (and more!) inspired us to name her Miss Milly Folly! The cottage is fully equipped and for longer stays, laundry and cleaning may be done. She boasts a huge fireplace, a divine shower, a relaxing bath, one main bedroom (with double bed), an attic bedroom (with double bed) as well as a sleeper couch big enough for two. The garden is big and there is also an outside fireplace/braai/bbq area. The fittings are locally- as well as European-sourced. All linen and towels provided are pure cotton :-) There is also a TV with DSTV dish/decoder (own card required) and a music system that plays CD's and DVD's. We took great care to turn Miss Milly Folly into something for everyone, so, treat yourself to a home away from home for a night, a weekend or longer. The beautiful ceramics in Miss Milly Folly are from a company called The Fenix in The Strand, Cape Town, SA - run and owned by our darling friend, Paul Marincowitz and his mom, Lorraine. The pieces come from their Vanilla Concrete range. Check them out at: http://www.thefenix.co.za/index.asp

The Fenix manufactures a range of more than 650 different raku-fired ceramic items, including decorative pieces such as elephant, giraffe and zebra, as well as bowls and dishes.
