We were very fortunate on our last walk...
On our way to the walking area, we encountered a pride of lions next to the road, rhino's on the road and a herd of elephants.
As we pulled up to our departure point, we were welcomed with 5 rhino!! What a way to start the walk!
While on foot we encountered some more rhino, as well as a herd of elephants.
The best way to explore the Pilanesberg is on foot.

Yesterdays walk started off very windy and I though the animals will be hiding to escape the fresh breeze. I was pleasantly surprise with 3 different white rhino, some giraffe, impala, and the extremely rare Black Rhino. Not one but 2 different sightings!!
To top it all off we had some great vocalizing of lions, but they were not so keen on showing themselves.
Time well spent.

What a great walk we had.
Started with an elephant herd roadblock on the way to our hiking area is always a great start to the morning.
With a fresh summer breeze, we started our walk.
We managed to find 9 White Rhino, plenty of giraffe, zebra and wildebeest.
After our rest break we were pleasantly surprised with a lioness that have walked over our tracks, while we were taking a break. Even though we haven't found her, just the thrill and excitement knowing she is close was more than enough to wake up your senses.

What a wonderful hiking trail we had this past week.
Being able to watch the sunrise while on foot is probably one of the best feelings.
We managed to see plenty of zebra, wildebeest, impala and giraffe, and was spoilt with some great white rhino sightings.
When you visit Black Rhino Reserve book your walk to avoid disappointment.

This time of year is one of the greatest times to be out on foot.
With the arrival of spring, there are also so many different plants flowering.
While doing a couple of walks this week we not only experienced the beauty of Pilanesberg, but we were also fortunate enough to find the elusive Black Rhino on two of your walks. Giraffe with small calves, kudu, impala and so many different bird species.

What a great walk we had this weekend with guests from . We had a cool, overcast day which made the summer temperatures bearable. Seeing 3 Black Rhinos, and watching the mother and calf playing with each other was truly priceless. White Rhino, elephant and some impala and zebra also added to the African scenery. What a way to enjoy nature.

What an amazing experience we had on our walk. We started our morning with some traffic in the form of 2 big male lions blocking our road for about half an hour.
Having a bit of a later start with our walk than normal, we were greeted with a leopard vocalizing in the valley we are about to start our walk.
Bumping into many rhinos on the trail including a very shy black rhino mother and calf, as well as a small breeding herd of elephants.
Spring is such a great time to be on foot with so many interesting flowers showing themselves.
What a great group we had.

What a great walk we had with a family staying on Black Rhino Reserve this weekend.
Being able to see so many rhino, including the very elusive Black Rhino is always a great privilege. Getting some elephants on the walk is also a great added bonus.
Spring is such a beautiful time of year to be able to walk in the wilderness.

Had an amazing walk with guests from Black Rhino Game Lodge.
It was a cool morning, but we had some great sightings.
We had been thrilled with some rhino, but best of all even a brown hyena.
So rare to see these animals even on a game drive, let alone on foot.

What a great morning we had this morning. As we started our walk we saw the big lion tracks, making one realize that you are only vulnerable visitors in the amazing world of the animal kingdom. Being able to watch 3 white rhinos having a late sleep in was truly a great experience.
