Go for hikes in the woods at the back. Bring your bikes and go off-roading in the nearby areas. Only 40 minutes from George Airport, 25 minutes to Hartenbos beach, 15 minutes to Kleinbrak beach and 10 minutes to Botlierskop Game Reserve/Outeniqua Moon Percheron Stud. Hear the lions roar in the mornings or evenings, listen to the nightjar singing his melody while having a braai at the most beautiful artistic african sunset. Watch the milky way emerge and look for shooting stars and satellites. (No light pollution) Have a morning coffee and look over the proteas, which brings in an array of brightly coloured sunbirds, for that perfect picture. Listen to the fish eagle fly overhead, while you see the honey buzzard or hawks trying their luck with the guinea fowl. And if you are really lucky, you might even see the blue cranes and secretary birds too.
