We are on the northern section of the Wild Coast of the Eastern Cape, South Africa. Sort of halfway between Port St Johns - Paradise in Pondoland , the only town on the Wild Coast, and the Kwa Zulu-Natal border town, Port Edward.

Welcome to the Mkambati Team, Orton Bosman!

The easiest way to get to GweGwe Beach Lodge at Mkambati Nature Reserve - Wild Coast, South Africa is to fly there from Margate, on the KZN South Coast.

Orton will fly you in the BAC BellJet 206 helicopter, which is permanently based at GweGwe, from Margate Airport.
Orton Bosman has over 3500 hours of flying experience, and will get you to our lodge in 20 minutes.

There will be flights to and from GweGwe Beach Lodge everyday, to suit your itinerary.

You can either drive yo Margate airport, or, if coming from Johannesburg, CEMAIR has scheduled flights to Margate.

Where else would you see dolphins and blue wildebeest (also known as blue gnu) at the same time? Probably only at GweGwe Beach Lodge at Mkambati Nature Reserve - Wild Coast, South Africa .
This photo was taken by the late John Costello, some years ago.
Now, because blue wildebeest were not historically found on the Wild Coast, they were translocated to other reserves, you will see zebra, eland and other antelope grazing with the Indian Ocean in the background.
