Welcome to "Stof-Fel" Photographic Tours where you join me on a journey to see and explore interesting places with your camera, all while doing this off the beaten track. Taking the roads less traveled in a Double Cab "Bakkie" and getting "Dust-on-Skin" while seeing places and vistas not seen by the coach traveler.
Places to see include Mosselbaai to Tsitsikamma, Swartberg Pass, Meiringspoort Pass, Seven Passes, Gouna Forrest, Millwood and Bendigo Mine, Jubilee Creek and the waterfall and so many more.
Pick-nicks and Camp Fire (Bush TV) while having a traditional Braai (not a BBQ as that's a flavour of crisp) or Potjie and chin-wag about the days shots taken and missed, settings and more.
Go Rock and Surf Fishing for edibles or test your strength against the powerhouse of the deep (shark) with catch and release always top of the list or off for an Adrenalin Jump off the Highest (216m), Bloukrans Bungy and Sky Walk in the world, Paragliding Tandem from the Map of Africa in Wilderness or Cloud 9 in Sedgefield.
Taste the wines of the area between Robertson and Bonnievale in the West and Bitou and Bramon and many more boutique wine farms in the East.
Experience the Olive Festival in Price Albert in April or May, migratory Hump Back and Southern Right Whales along the coast from June through October and maybe a little longer, Dive with The Seals, Hike the Robberg (Seal Mountain) Peninsula. Knysna and Mosselbaai Historic rambles. Feed and touch the Elephant at the Elephant Parks, see the diversity of the Primates at the Sanctuary at Monkeyland, Birds Of Eden has a variety of birds that are easy to photograph as they are in the largest single dome aviary in the world spanning 2.3 hectares of natural forest, streams and dams. Tenikwa Wildlife Rehabilitation & Awareness Centre focusing on indigenous wild cats of South Africa. Raptor Rescue does great work rehabilitating raptors and has a visitor program where you can see fly-by action and have a raptor sit on your gloved hand.
There are also the Cultural Tours in the African Townships that can be arranged to see a Sangoma or Natural Healer and taste traditional foods like "Smilies, Pens n Pootjie, Run-a-ways" and many more
Come and join me for a photographic journey through some, if not all of the above.
