Calling all adventurers! There are so many beautiful spots ready to explore nearby Hlatini Beach Cottage. One of our favourites is the Umtamvuna Nature Reserve, accessible from Clearwater Trails (only a 15-minute drive from the beach cottage). Make sure you take advantage of everything the South Coast has to offer when you're staying at Hlatini.

Our Story

Hlatini beach cottage is a comfortable family holiday home isolated by beautiful wilderness. Sit outside in the morning and drink coffee while watching the beautiful ocean view and passing pods of whales and dolphins. Lie on the grass at night and point out constellations and satellites shooting across the night sky.

With direct access to Rennie’s Beach from the front lawn, it’s almost as if you have your own private beach. Consisting of five bedrooms (including a dormitory containing three sets of bunk beds), the cottage sleeps 16 people with ease, and contains two bathrooms (each with showers and one with a bath).

The cottage is set in a 7 hectare estate which is zoned as a conversation area. With large back and front lawns, and surrounded by indigenous trees and plant life, there is plenty of space for garden cricket, picnics, or even bigger events like weddings or parties.

There is no TV, but plenty of books and games. The cottage has always been a family retreat, a place to relax, swim, go for walks, play with the children and relax some more!
