I don't post as much personal content on Facebook these days, but bear with me as I tell you about something exciting that is really close to my heart…
A few months ago a headline grabbed our attention: Pretoria named as 3rd most dangerous city in the world.
Surely not?! While I still strongly question the data, the fact remains: so many people in our beautiful city does not feel safe at home, on the road or when out and about.
The Tshwane Tourism Association Members have been promoting Tshwane as our Wildest Capital City in the World with wildly wonderful nature reserves, wildly interesting adventures and wildly hospitable people. Our wildly wonderful mayor, Cilliers Brink is even a supporter. But now we have decided to take it a step further and start a campaign to also make our wonderfully wild city the SAFEST CAPITAL CITY IN THE WORLD.
So how do we become the safest capital city? The answer, like with so many things these days, lies in technology and we are really excited about our partnership with the CASI APP and The Ultimate Pretoria Bucketlist . Together we aim to give everyone in our city access to quick and efficient help in an emergency.
The CASI security app is a panic button on your phone that sends the closest responder to you WHEREVER YOU ARE IN SOUTH AFRICA. For only R35 per month or R380 per year, you have more than 400 security companies ready to assist you when you find yourself in trouble. We are facilitating companies to sign up their staff, residents to sign up their family members and the tourism industry to sign up their travelers.
We have around 4.2 million people in Tshwane. We aim to give 1 million people access to this quick and efficient security wherever they are and believe this will make a massive difference to safety but also to our peace of mind.
