dining room seats twelve for memorable candlelit dinners, or for a more informal meal you can gather around the French style kitchen table with its 8 chairs. A large wooden deck outside has dramatic views of the crashing waves and sunsets. The house has seen many big Christmas lunches! In the centre of the house is a fireplace that can be stocked with wood during winter months. A whitewashed staircase leads to a large family room with comfortable couches to enjoy the 48-inch flat screen cable / satellite TV with full DSTV Bouquet. An additional TV in one bedroom with dual satellite view is available. You are welcome to explore our extensive library. Two bathrooms offer a large modern shower and bath respectively and, in addition, the outside shower offers beautiful mountain views. Pringle Bay has a pristine white beach and you can see the rare Oyster Catcher that nests in the dunes. If you are lucky you can see whales and dolphins from July to November. Young and old love the warm and protected lagoon where the Buffels river flows into the sea. Situated at the end of a Cul de Sac, Waterblom is a safe environment for kids and your car. Waterblom is ideally located to explore the Boland and Overberg regions. Perfect for holidays or as a writing, painting and creative retreat. A 10 minutes drive will take you to the penguin colony or famous Harold Porter Botanical Gardens, 20 minutes to a variety of golf courses, 45 minutes to the wine estates or to the “Whale Capital" Hermanus, 50 minutes to Cape Town International Airport and just over one hour to the center of Cape Town.
