We have just had a lovely holiday with our kids and our beloved 4-legged son in Orjaneville at Mihanzi Caravan Park. Firstly the road to get there was really bad , it's a dirt road and full of potholes not an ideal road to travel and tow a caravan. Our caravan was packed well, so no breakages or stuff falling around. So im pleased with myself that I packed securely. The stands are really nice an big. The fishing was really great once the men had a made a feed place. My biggest problem was the flies wow they were everywhere, couldn't go to sleep at night or lay down in the afternoon without spraying a tin of Mortein inside and closing doors and windows. Then had to rush inside to clean all the corpses out. The flies were mostly going inside the tent and van . Outside under the trees there were no flies. Hardly any mosquitoes which was really good. The outside was lovely when the weather was good. A few times I could convince myself that we were by the sea when the wind picked up we had waves coming off the dam. The abulutions were clean and neat but only one decent bathroom for all the campsites there . Only 2 showers and 2 toilets for all the sites. Biggest problem was getting to go have a shower at a decent hour and you were lucky if you got hot water. There was no mop left there for you to mop floors if you made a wet mess. No place to put your stuff down . The showers and the cubicle were small. Not much space to move around in there. The next worst thing was the drains kept blocking in the showers so you would end up having the water dam up and fall over the edge of the shower wall and thus flooding the entire bathroom . Not nice having to try dress on wet floors. There were 2 showers very rough and primitive further down from us. And further down 2 primitive toilets . There were not enough abulitions for the entire park . The stands did have electricity and water. The parks grounds were very clean and dustbins were emptied every morning by friendly staff. Overall we had a lovely holiday. Really nice to camp there. If we go again we will go as far as Denysville and then down to Orangeville. Prices were good as well. Except no discount for pensioners. Beautiful sunsets very quiet lots of fish. Office admin very accomadating. Big problem with loadshedding, which I know is everywhere, but this created cell phone signal problems. If you don't mind the rough then it's a good place to camp
