Hodge Podge Lodge Backpackers Hodge Podge Lodge backpackers is a place you can chill in the bush. Awesome place for groups. You can swim and relax on the green grass.

We are right against the magaliesburg mountain, 11kms out of Rustenburg. All our log cabins sre in the bush and are well furnished. We can take small groups or large groups. We can accommodate up to 120 people depending how they want to sleep. In the summer you can relax at the sunny pool and in the winter you can soak up the quitness as well as the beuty of the Backdrop of the magailiesburg Mountain.

The entitlement of the youth. My pool was to small. My entrance was not good. My dogs was a problem. And I asked for the rain to dry my pool.

Really the youth of today is really no pleasant to deal with.
They do not understand what is a back packers.
We had rain last night and the pool is now not blue but green. Had a gripe about that as if it is my fault the rain came.
Thought that the lappa was made nicely for them and I explain to them that I have a function till 4.
Had a problem with my dogs. Made all kind of remarks. A very unfriendly unpleasant group of people.
Want to play music right though the night at a volume that was going to burst my neighbors.
No wonder the places do not want to entertain the youth anymore.
Gave them there money back and sent them packing
Is this hospitality worth the salt anymore.
The entitlement of what we owe the youth is disgusting

I wished people would understand that I am a Backpackers and a group camp site and not a place of luxury and Egyptian Linen and what else people expect. My description on my website says clearly what I am. I have had some awesome groups that have been here and have enjoyed themselves to the full. Some amazing Bachelor parties that have given us great laughs and memories.
Please my place has a warm rustic tranquility to it and groups that have been here as well as individual couples, school teams as well as school groups have had a great time here.
I really do not need grumpy snobs to stay here and be unhappy because they do not know what a Backpackers is.
