Divas Who Rock

A diva is a celebrated female singer and a woman of outstanding talent. The Barnyard Theatre presents five of its best female singers in a tribute to the world’s greatest divas. Divas Who Rock features a captivating 10-piece cast that pay tribute to the divas of today, pop divas of the eighties and nineties, disco divas of the seventies and the soul divas of the sixties. The show features seven decades of music starting in the 1950s with Diamonds Are A Girl’s Best Friend by Marilyn Monroe and moves on to tributes to sixties divas, including Carole King, Janis Joplin and Aretha Franklin. The seventies and eighties are saluted with mind-blowing tributes to Cyndi Lauper, Madonna, Cher, Whitney Houston and Tina Turner. In the second half we experience the funky nineties with tributes to divas such as Alanis Morissette, Avril Lavigne, Kelly Clarkson, Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez. Divas Who Rock features a broad selection of music for all tastes - from Brenda Fassie to Sarah Brightman - whilst current day pop stars are saluted with rocking tributes to Lady Gaga, Pink, Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus. The Fire & Feast Butcher’s Festival

The Fire & Feast Butcher’s Festival, presented by Crown National, will be the first-of-its kind in the city of Johannesburg.
The festival, which is a long overdue celebration of the meat industry and associated products, will kick off at the Ticketpro Dome from Friday, 26 May and will sizzle until Sunday 28 May, allowing meat lovers the opportunity to explore different kinds of cuisines all under one roof.
Attendees can look forward to the beer and braai garden, lamb and mutton kitchen, beef kitchen and the wine and food pairing zone. Visitors will have the opportunity to sample, sip and shop their way around the festival.
Tickets will be available from www.ticketpro.co.za at R100 adults, R80 pensioners and students and children up to 12 are free.

The Beer Run

If you enjoy being social, running, attempting obstacle courses, and drinking, the beer run could be your most favourite event ever.
Here's a note on what you can expect from the organisers:
The route consists of a 5km run, there are 5 beer stops or as we like to call them “Dehydration Stations” on the route. Each beer stop is stocked up with a different beer and will provide music, entertainment and a chill area where you can relax your weary body before heading on to the next point.
Once you have completed the roughly 5km course you will face your final challenge our inflatable obstacle course before you slide across the finish line of glory! We’ll welcome you back into the Ultimate After-Party with an ice cold beer at your final beer stop and a full afternoon of festivities – music, games, beer pong, bucking bronco, giveaways, food trucks and more beer!

The South African Body of Dance (SABOD), in conjunction with Sun International, is looking forward to hosting the 2017Battle of the Giants All Styles DanceSport Festival at Sun City.

The World IDO (International Dance Organisation) Championships Event has been hosted three times at Sun City, in 1999, 2001 and in 2012 and this event has grown in both numbers and styles of dance that are performed during this competition.
