Jakkalsvlei is a spectacular winery, situated in the Garden Route in Herbetsdale.
Herbertsdale is known for its good water, good soil in a warm/dry climate, making it a choice environment for farming fruit and vineyards.
The first Chenin Blanc was planted in 1987. They bottled the first in 2007, but the first labeled Jakkalsvlei wine was bottled in 2008, The Mount Cuvee and Hanepoot.
Jakkalsvlei opened its doors 2010 and has been growing since.
