Japan's blossom season is just around the corner! If you haven't already, this is a once-in-a-lifetime spectacle that you simply have to experience. From March to April Osaka, Kyoto and Nara's trees start blooming. In Tokyo and Yokohama, the flowering usually starts in the last few days of March going into full bloom in the first week of April.

The best way to guarantee a sighting of the pink wonders - which unfortunately don't keep a strict schedule - is to book an extended stay towards the end of March and beginning of April.
