Let’s go play stuck in sand in the Mozambican clear beach waters in a self drive trip as we start our trip at a world icon, the Kruger National Park and from there cross-over the border into Mozambique via the Komatipoort border post.
 
From here we make our way to Xai-Xai tracking the EN1 and absorbing the local culture that Mozambique has to offer. Good practice as this EN1 road will one day take us to Tanzania (the stuff of dreams). Just before we enter Xai-Xai we will cross over the mighty Limpopo river making its way eastwards to the Indian ocean. If you are curious, like us, look up Hosi Rivombo and the ties to the Limpopo.
 
Xai-Xai needs no further introduction as a place – beach, 4x4 sand driving, coral reef, bustling city and oh did I say beach driving. From here we will make our way to Bilene known to some as the beach resort with great night life.
 
As we make our way back to SA, to ease ourselves back we will pass through Macaneta, an island resort 30kms from Maputo.

Let’s go play with sand and salty waters as we make our way through a world icon, the Kruger National Park and do what very few get to do and cross over into Mozambique via the Limpopo National Park.
