Our final day on our 7-Day West Coast tour was a scorcher, but it was packed with unforgettable experiences in the Richtersveld. A highlight was meeting the Nama people of Eksteenfontein, who treated us to an incredible dance performance, showcasing traditions passed down through many generations. From there, we journeyed through the dramatic Hell’s Pass, continued to Vioolsdrift, and ended the day at the Okiep Country Hotel. Dinner was a feast – some indulged in their famous lamb neck, while others savored a traditional Nama lamb curry. Everyone agreed this was money well spent, and many encouraged others to join the next West Coast Tour starting on March 1st for more adventures like these! Day 5 of our 7-Day West Coast Tour was a hit! It was a more laid-back day filled with fun on the salt pans, where the group put their 4x4s to the test and showed off some impressive skills. The culinary highlights were just as memorable—lunch at Bella De Port was nothing short of spectacular, and the evening ended with a full buffet dinner at the Okiep Country Hotel that left no one hungry. With meals like these, we’re pretty sure everyone’s heading home with a few extra pounds and plenty of great memories!

Day 4 of our West Coast Tour brought more adventure and discovery. We spent the day exploring the beach, uncovering the fascinating stories behind historic shipwrecks, and marveling at the incredible succulents of the Karoo Biome with specialist tour guide, Dudley Wessels .The day ended perfectly at Houthoop Guest Farm, where Jackie, the owner and chef, went above and beyond to treat us to an unforgettable seafood feast.
