Wild & Wine was founded by Annie DuPre-Reynolds and Georgia Hall, who met while completing a Field Guide c
ourse in 2019 in the Greater Kruger region of South Africa. Annie is from the USA but lives in South Africa with her husband. Georgia is from the UK and lives on a Narrowboat called Lush. They are both passionate about wildlife, conservation, sustainability, food, wine, travel, and unique experiences. Wild & Wine is committed to showing its patrons the most beautiful, natural elements of Africa, while making the smallest impact on our planet. We have a strong conservation ethos and ethical guiding mantra with close links to conservation non-profits. When in an elephant sighting, it's incredibly important to be silent and still.
Elephants see our full vehicle as one creature; if we move or make noise, we confuse them and may disturb them. It's so important to experience elephants in an undisturbed viewing.

One of Africa's largest wilderness preserves has only 130 African wild dogs living in it... one of these dogs is the legendary alpha male of the Skukuza pack...
This beautiful male lion took full command of the road. He lay across an intersection and clearly had no intention of leaving!
Visiting Kruger at this time of year is a really unique experience. Traffic is way down, so you often have incredible sightings to yourself, or share them with just one or two other vehicles. The grass and bush are thick and green, so it's a bit more of a challenge to find wildlife. Really a beautiful and interesting experience!

We love sitting next to the fire at the end of adventure filled days.
We normally have a glass of wine in hand but if someone was to offer a toasted marshmallow, it's pretty tough to say no!
Anyone else love that sticky marshmallowy goodness?? 🔥
We found the answer to our last question... Where's the wine? For now, in South Africa, you'd better have a decent stock on hand.
As of last night we are back in Lockdown level 3. That means no alcohol can be sold at shops or consumed at restaurants. Luckily we stocked up (see earlier post!).
Please keep safe and healthy. We will get through this, and one day soon we will cheers together at our favourite South African wineries.

We recently hosted the Cox family on our signature Cape Escape tour! They joined our Co-founder Annie for 6 days in Cape Town and the Cape Winelands.
Amazing views, getting back to nature, tasting incredible SA wine, riding the aerial car up Table Mountain, visiting local markets and braaiing into the evenings. We enjoyed G&Ts by the fire and did chocolate and wine tastings. Was an incredible week and we hope to have them back again soon!
