Oh dear!

If it isn't your favorite self-made Itinerary Advisor returning from hibernation.
I mean these Houdini stunts (now you see me and now you don't) aren't good for business.
In my defense, 2022 has been overwhelming.
Literally readjusting to a life and a new normal after a pandemic!
But I acknowledge the need for people to rest and live a little, so I have come back with the sole intention to assist you in planning your "perfect" 2022 vacation.

I know they say "perfect" doesn't exist, but with the help of Thulz Explores, we get pretty close!

I've been blessed enough to travel around Africa... A bit that is.
I remember my first travel experience, particularly one I can recall. It was Easter 2006/7. I was in primary school.
My father took my 2 sisters, my mother and I to Durban. That was the first time I boarded a plane. One Time Airlines. Too bad it liquidated!

So although I have special attachments with all the places I've traveled to, Durban holds a special place in my heart. It holds a very precious childhood memory.

Last year, we drove down to Durban just to deal with the effects of the pandemic on one's mind.
One of my favorite experience was going to the Whale Bone Pier in Umhlanga.
Did you know that at some point it was rated the best pier?
It's unique and picturesque.

This trip down to Durban in 2021 holds such a special place in my heart. I got to travel with both my parents.
We were driving to Jozi one day when my parents suggested we travel to a coastal city. We decided to take a road trip to Durban. In just a week, we planned everything from A-Z.
It was a long 6 hour drive straight to South Coast.
I remember the scenenic drive, the many roadworks Hahahaha!
It was all so lovely.
Over the next few days I will share highlights of the trip.

Hi Fam!
It’s been a while hey. I know I apologise.
I had a big life change that took some time to adjust to. I changed legal careers.
I started a new job in a new field of law and since the change happened, I’ve been extremely busy.

But guess what?! I am back. I am back to plug you with spots and I am back to offer you services as an Itinerary Advisor.

The world is slowly but surely opening up and there are more travel opportunities approaching. Please cease the moment and travel when your heart and pocket want to.

GIRL ON THE MOVE!

I don’t know if the Hartees Cableway falls under Pretoria or Northwest but either way, it’s a must do. The Cable car is an experience of it’s own but what stood out for me was having lunch at the top with a live band playing some of Oliver Mtukudzi’s best tracks. Not to talk of the view. My oh my! Breath taking views.
It’s a must do!

Happy Wednesday Everyone! I come with a tale to tell.
A story of how I toppled a quad bike.

Earlier on this year, I went Quad biking in Mellbosstrand, Cape Town. Allow me to mention that it was not my first time so I had a tad bit of experience.
The day started out well and we were in high spirits when we received our bikes and our safety briefing. But little did we know that Thulz was about to happen.
“Whatever you do, do not press both the brakes and the accelerator at the same time” the guide told us firmly. We were told the consequences and I wasn’t in for that.

Honestly speaking, I get easily distracted. I cannot pay attention to many things at the same time.

So I got onto my bike and the ride started. I was comfortable and confident… then I started singing BOSS by the Carters. I even went as far as singing out loud. It wasn’t long until I got hit by a bunch of leaves. I lost control and pressed both the accelerator and the brakes.

Low and behold, I was in some bush with my bike upside down. I had lost both my brother and the guide.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
The guide came back for me and we continued. I stopped singing out loud that day😂

Come to think of it, I always have some story to tell where adventure is concerned. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I left there with scratches on my back and a funny tale to tell. These moments make life worthwhile.

INTERESTING FACT:

My favourite city in the whole wide world is Durban! I know many will question why of all cities I’ve traveled to, Durban. Well it’s probably because it holds a lot of sentimental value in my life. It so happens to be one of the first family trips I can remember. We traveled, by air, with both my sisters and my parents. So many memories attached to Durban. I also love it because it offers the beauties of a costal city but it is also slow and easy going!

Hi Everyone!
I’m Thulie, a legal eagle who so happens to have a passion for travel and adventure. I also happen to be really good at planning trips and mini adventures.
This year, 2021, the idea dawned on me to start a small business with this passion.
So in May 2021, I started what I call “Thulz Explores”.

The purpose of Thulz Explores is to help people who are eager to travel and go on adventures but unwilling to go through the hustle and bustle of planning, to create the perfect trip with the itinerary that suits their personal desires. I’ve been blessed enough to plan a few trips of my own and for clients and that has equipped me with the rudimentary knowledge to start.

I will be using my social medial platform to share on my experiences, some sad, so scary and most of them funny, with the intention to also motivate you to try and live a life of adventure.
