Festive Season Survival Guide

Hey, holidaymakers!

The festive season is upon us, and we're excited to welcome you to our little slice of paradise! To ensure everyone has a fantastic time, we've put together a few friendly reminders to keep you safe, happy, and harmonious with your fellow holidaymakers and the environment.

Safety First
- Be road-aware: Our roads can be narrow and winding, so drive safely and enjoy the scenery.
- Respect the wildlife: They might look cute, but they're still wild animals. Keep a safe distance and don't feed them.
- Secure your holiday home or lodge: Keep valuables safe, and don't leave doors and windows open.

Noise Levels
- Keep it down: Remember, your neighbor might be trying to enjoy the sounds of nature. No loud music, please!
- Party responsibly: If you're planning a bash, keep the volume in check. We want you to have fun, but not at the expense of others.

Save Our Planet
- Conserve water: It's a precious resource, so let's use it wisely. No car washing, please!
- Be electricity-aware: Avoid overconsumption, especially with aircons. Keep them set between 21-24 degrees, and switch them off when not in use.

Other Important Reminders
- Protect your ID, passport, cameras, and laptops. Losing them can put a damper on your holiday.
- Don't overload the electrical system. We don't want any burnt transformers!
- Respect our community: Keep noise levels down, and avoid littering.

By following these simple guidelines, you'll be helping us create a wonderful festive atmosphere for everyone. Let's make this holiday season one to remember!

Happy holidays, and thank you for being considerate guests!

Essential Tips for a Kruger Park Safari

Planning a safari adventure in Kruger Park? Here are some crucial points to keep in mind for a safe and enjoyable experience:

1. Prebooking is Essential
For private drives, prebook your entrance at the Crocodile Bridge Gate, either at the gate (20 km away) or on the Sanparks website. Note that Kruger Gate is too far from our location.

2. Guided Safaris
Book open vehicle guided safaris through Louise at the Info Centre (3043 Olifant Drive) or WhatsApp her at 084 565 5916.

3. Preparation is Key
- Early morning entry: Get a head start on your safari adventure.
- Binoculars: Don't forget to bring a pair for optimal wildlife viewing.
- Informative resources: Visit the Info Centre for helpful books, maps, and guidance.

4. Safety and Etiquette
- No alcohol allowed: Keep your safari experience safe and enjoyable.
- Refreshments: Pack some essentials for hot days.
- Realistic expectations: Remember, Kruger Park is not a zoo – wildlife sightings are not guaranteed.
- Follow rules: Adhere to instructions on your entrance permit regarding parking and behavior at sightings.

5. Respect Other Travelers
When encountering a sighting that may cause traffic congestion, keep the lane opposite the sighting open for travelers who may need to pass through for a booked activity or, ahem, a "personal call from nature."

By following these guidelines, you'll be well-prepared for an unforgettable Kruger Park safari adventure!
