On Saturday, I found myself as an English rose amidst a vibrant garden of Springbok green and gold. For much of the rugby match, it seemed England would carry the day, leaving me contemplating a celebratory toast with my Merlot. But then, a group of spirited young South African supporters joined me. It's as if they sprinkled some sort of miraculous "Bok dust" onto the pitch—South Africa surged ahead and clinched victory by a single, dramatic point.

The air buzzed with excitement, and my English reserve disintegrated in seconds. So, what's the social etiquette in such a scenario? In South Africa, the answer is straightforward: celebrate exuberantly with your newfound friends—Tequila shots for everyone!

So here's to the essence of South Africa—my adopted home—where sport is far more than a game; it's a universal language that dissolves barriers, occasionally along with good judgment when Tequila's involved.
