Our “Local is Lekker” page is for all local residents who are looking to explore South Africa. Marula Hill Travel is a celebration of two best friends who share a passion for Africa, exploring and a love of marketing. (We also happen to share a birthday!) For over 20 years we have been unofficial travel advisors to friends and family across the seas, organising everything from family holidays to destination weddings. While enjoying another of our shared interests (Indian curry and red wine), we chatted about the things that really make our hearts sing. We realised that we needed to form this business and make people’s holiday dreams come true. Making the leap from corporate was pretty scary but we wouldn’t swap it for the world. Our days are now spent partnering with our clients to find the gems and nuggets that make for life-long memory making. We feel privileged and honoured that people put their trust in us to help plan their holidays, and we are with them every step of the way. Africa has so many amazing places to explore, and its rich diversity is what we want to showcase. Our brand name is an African twist on Vikki’s gran’s name, Mary Hill. She loved visiting South Africa, and we know she’d be very proud of us, and the community initiatives we support. Our giraffe logo is quite simply our favourite animal – they are graceful and unique – something we also aspire to be!
