Once again we had a great week. Over 20GT landed for the week. Monster Cuta and greenspots. Looks like the cold weather activated their appetite.

We have decided that from 2022 Baboon point lodge will only host 4 trips per year. Making this one of the most exclusive fishing destinations.
Just our part in preserving one of the most pristine pieces of coastline in the world.

Thanks to all the clients who rebooked for next year. 2021 will for sure be a great year. Baboon point hasn’t been fished for almost a year and one can only imagine what trophy fish will be landed in 2021.
I bet we will see a couple of monster GT being landed.

And when the see is flat we go play in the deeper water.We have a 6 meter Buccaneer duck at the lodge. A very comfortable boat for lure fishing.2 spots left for the week of16-23 April.

Got some nice greenspots at Baboon point on the reefs over new year. What a fight they can put up on the medium tackle.
The new Venom Black rods are just amazing and gives a perfect action to the bucktails.

A first for me. We chased the bonnies on the beach.
We managed to land one and a half bonnie
Rudolph’s bonnie got taxed right in front of Dericks feet by a monster Blackfin.

Lots of other weeks open as well for full groups that wants to book.

Hi guys.
Some of the guys asked how the bookings work.
We book 3 to 8 guys per week. Normally from Saturday to Saturday. But can be changed.
So 6 full fishing days.
We pick the groups up and drop them off at Vilankulos airport.
All food soft drinks and beer are included.Includes guiding and transfers.
Tackle can be supplied.
Any time off the year is good. All depends on the weather.

There are smaller groups or single guys that ask me if they can join bigger groups.
Thats no problem. We already have 2 smaller groups that we can accommodate anglers in.
The dates are
16-23 May 2020. Thursday to Thursday

30 May-6 June. 2020 Saturday to Saturday

Theres lots of weeks open for next year. Also planning a trip for beginning of December.

On one of the toughest weeks so far. Only 2 of the 6 days where fishable.
Rudolph still managed to pull a few rabbits out of the hat.
Well done. Some great fish. And some of the best young anglers we are going to hear a lot off in the future.

So we had the privilege to host some of the best shore anglers in the world The Penn ambassadors at the lodge last week.

They learned a lot about fishing from us. And we learned a lot about drinking from them. Or was it the other way around.
All i can say is what an awesome week we had lots of laughs,learning,and great fun. Best of all we made new friends.

To see the camaraderie from the Penn guys was great. What a great team.
Thanks Graham and Werner from Iron River for making this trip possible. Thanks Dexter for all the goodies. Those stick shads and bucktail worked like a fist on a eye. Im sure to get the Venom black spinning rods asap.
