This charming hotel is rich in history - it was originally built as a Mission House in 1888. The breathtaking lounge area boasts exceptionally high ceilings and a strikingly generous original fireplace. It is located within walking distance to the centre of the Franschhoek village. Walk to nearby restaurants, artisanal shops and the main terminal of the wine tram. It's the perfect place to stay while exploring the Franschhoek Valley.

Rhino Ridge Safari Lodge is proud to be associated with the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park and its historical success story of rhino conservation in Southern Africa. This was the first luxury safari lodge to be established within this world renowned Big 5 game reserve which is also home to thriving populations of African wild dogs.

The rooms and villas are placed on a walkway seamlessly blending along a cliff edge and offering magnificent views over the game reserve and down onto a busy waterhole. They offer thrilling walking safaris which beautifully enhances one's safari experience!

This gorgeous lodge, situated in Kariega Game Reserve in the Eastern Cape, boasts 10 luxury suites each with a private plunge pool and deck offering panoramic views of the valley. This is a great hideaway for a romantic retreat - a true spoil. There is wildlife galore - we had incredible elephant sightings during our stay!

Situated on the banks of the tidal Touw river, surrounded by the Garden Route National Park, Moontide is both a romantic retreat and the perfect base from which to explore the region. The lodge is rich in hostory - it was one of the first residences to be built in Wilderness in the 1920's! We love the charm of the individually decorated rooms and the gorgeous views over the river.

This little jewel is situated a stone's throw from the gorgeous Robberg Beach in Plettenberg Bay. The rooms are beautifully appointed and the breakfast (as well as the views) are simply divine. The location is ideal to explore Plett and surrounds. We loved the warm hospitality during our visit last year!

This gorgeous beach lodge is located within the Kanon Private Nature Reserve near Mossel Bay in the Western Cape. The camp comprises 4 individually appointed and spacious luxury tents.

The beach lodge is situated just behind the low dune zone, perched above the Indian Ocean. The 3 luxury glamping suites comprise the larger honeymoon suite, the smaller double suite and the final suite is suited for singles, or couples. The main living area and kitchen overlooks the magnificent ocean. Experience a fully catered beach retreat or choose the self-catering option.

This is an ideal escape - get off your devices and enjoy a tech-detox on the beach!

Beach bliss! Gugulesiswe Camp is located within the iSimangaliso Wetland Park. Instead of focusing solely on wildlife and conservation, at Gugs they embrace a broader view. They believe in community growth alongside nature, not just in Africa but everywhere, from New York's streets to Maputaland's coasts.

Meals are lovingly prepared by a chef native to Maputaland who has dedicated her life to the culinary arts. The flavours of the region’s cuisine include staples like maize, wild date palm, and peanuts and the fresh bounty of the sea and lake system where we buy our fish catch.

There is communal plunge pool to cool off in as well as a health spa offering massages. There will be some time to relax too so bring along that book to read by the pool!

The absolute highlight - sea turtles nest along this coast during the summer months! Watch the females lay their eggs or later, the hatchlings race to the ocean. It is such a humbling sight!
